Demonstrate the nominee’s performance in as many of the following areas as applicable.

• Excellence/Leadership in field of expertise
• Business growth (increased sales, profitability and expansion)
• Increased employment and sound employee relations
• Customer Service/Quality
• Innovation/Research & Development (marketing, product development, environmental responsibility or technological advances)
• Community/Charitable Involvement
• Use of local resources (utilizing educational institutions, natural resources, goods, services, etc.)

Criteria for Man of the Year & Woman of the Year

Demonstrate the nominee’s performance in as many of the following areas as applicable.

• Contributions to the business leadership of Avery County
• Contributions to the quality of life in Avery County
• Demonstrate the nominee’s qualities of leadership, cooperation and teamwork
• Discuss how the nominee inspires others to better serve our community
