Cannon Memorial Hospital

Built in 1999, Charles A. Cannon Jr. Memorial Hospital provides a comprehensive range of healthcare services and advanced technology. Located in Linville, the 70-bed hospital staffs its emergency room 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The medical staff, which includes more than 150 physicians, offers a range of care from family practice and primary care to cardiology, gynecology, neurology, nephrology, ophthalmology and orthopedics. Other specialties available at Cannon include general, orthopedic and plastic surgeries.

Cannon makes full range of diagnostic services available to our community, including MRI, CT Scan, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and sleep studies. Other facilities include in-patient and out-patient behavioral care, a birthing center, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

Cannon's sister facility, the Watauga Medical Center in Boone, houses additional services including a wellness center, cancer center, kidney dialysis and the Sanger Cardiology Clinic.

Cannon Memorial Hospital is a member of the Appalachian Regional Healthcare System along with Watauga Medical Center.
