The 47th Annual Roasting of the Hog and Fireworks Display

Beech Mountain's annual Roasting of the Hog is held on the Saturday closest to July 4...July 2nd, 2011

The volunteer chefs have cooking pork barbeque down to a science. They use a special blend of hardwoods for their charcoal, their own mix of spices, and only select cuts of pork and turkey.

The children's activity area opens at 3:30, music provided by DJ Mac Mast begins at 5, barbecue is served at 5:30, and fireworks begin shortly after dark.

The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children 10 and under. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce or at Fred's General Mercantile on Beech Mountain.
